Auckland Medical Students

DIG Information

August 25th - Cordis Hotel, Auckland

Dermatology Interest Group is proud to present Derm School 2018.

Derm School 2018 hopes to expose medical students to the exciting specialty of dermatology and give students the chance to learn more about what dermatology entails. We hope that this conference will give you insight into dermatology and the way dermatology intersects with many other specialties in medicine.

This fully catered day conference will feature doctors currently working in the field of dermatology. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from clinicians about their first hand experiences in medical and surgical dermatology, and be given insight about a career as a dermatologist. Delegates will also have the opportunity to learn how to use dermatoscopes and hone their suturing skills through a suturing workshop.

Cheque Presentation to the Melanoma Foundation

Nina, President of the Dermatology Interest Group (DIG), presenting a cheque for $1000 to Linda Flay CEO of the Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand at the recent DIG evening at the medical school on malignant melanoma.

The Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand is the adopted charity of the DIG.

Nina is a 3rd year medical student. She and her colleagues in the DIG raised the money for The Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand by a “Bake Sale” held at the medical school recently.

Well done Nina and the DIG group.
