Dr Gerhard Eichhoff is a vocationally registered specialist dermatologist.

Gerhard graduated from the School of Medicine of the Technical University of Munich, Germany in 2006. He has an extensive background in science and was awarded a PhD in the field of Neuroscience resulting in highly ranked publications.

Gerhard has been working in the field of dermatology for 14 years. He received specialist recognition as dermatologist in 2016 after training in two of Germany’s the most prestigious university centres for dermatology, Tübingen and Munich. In 2014, he received the Diploma in Aesthetic Laser Medicine by the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald, Germany. He then undertook fellowship training in phlebology.

He moved to New Zealand in 2016 to work as a consultant dermatologist and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is also a member of the New Zealand Dermatological Society.

Gerhard has a strong passion for surgical and non-surgical management of skin cancer and is highly dedicated to inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis including management of acne and rosacea.

Gerhard is a consultant dermatologist at Middlemore Hospital and the Manukau SuperClinic where he is involved in registrar training. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland. Private dermatology consultations are available at Remuera Dermatology in Auckland.
