Dr Keefe emigrated to NZ in 2007. He was formerly Lead Consultant in Southampton, a leading UK teaching hospital, and was Senior Lecturer and head of dermatology education at the University of Southampton. Under his leadership the department won the prestigious UK Hospital Doctor Award as Dermatology Team of the Year in 2005. He also ran a large and successful private practice. Dr Keefe was Clinical Director of Dermatology in Christchurch from 2008-2016 and until December 2017 was in private practice in Nelson. He has now returned to live and work in Christchurch. Dr Keefe has authored more than 50 publications in medical journals, a book chapter and has given numerous lectures to health professionals and the public.
