Dr. Julia Zhu is a New Zealand trained dermatologist with dual vocational qualifications in dermatology and general medicine. She is one of only two dermatologists in New Zealand to hold specialist qualifications in both fields, allowing her to take a comprehensive and holistic approach to skin disease.

She completed her advanced dermatology training in Christchurch, Auckland and Waikato, and undertook further training at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. Her training across major centres in New Zealand and the United Kingdom has provided broad experience in both general and complex dermatology. She is also involved in medical school teaching and is a senior clinical lecturer with the University of Otago.

Clinical Interests

Medical dermatology (including inflammatory dermatoses, biologics treatments and skin manifestation of systemic diseases), Vulval dermatology, and skin cancer management.
