Dr Chandran graduated from The University of Leeds School of Medicine, United Kingdom. He moved to New Zealand and worked in general medicine in Hawke’s Bay and Auckland. He undertook dermatology training in Auckland and Waikato and completed his Dermatology Fellowship at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust in the UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the New Zealand Dermatology Society.

Dr Chandran is currently a Dermatologist at Auckland City Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. He has a private practice working at the Skin Specialist Centre rooms in Remuera in central Auckland  and off Lincoln Road in west Auckland. His interests are in general Dermatology, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, skin surgery, laser, cosmetic dermatology and biologic treatments.
